Ladies' Evening Group - Next Meeting
The Ladies' Evening Group (LEG) was founded in 1976 by Cathy Lister as an evening group for working women who were not able to attend the Ladies' Guild which meets in the daytime. Founding members included Ann Gustafsson and Lena Paulse.
The main aims of the group are Christian Fellowship, building friendship among the members, and providing material support for St.Andrew's Church.
The group meets once a month to discuss books, films, plays, have a meal out, etc.and plan for various church activities such as the Summer Bazaar in May
and the St. Andrew's Day Lunch in November. There is a deep sincere and warm feeling of friendship in the group, which has about 25 members with some 20 nationalities.
The Ladies Evening Group and the Ladies' Guild join together in many fund-raising activities for St. Andrews.
Most of all we support and nurture each other in our daily lives. We talk to each other regularly on the phone and we feel blessed to have so many good friends around us (true friends are a rare gift). We would like to extend a warm welcome to all ladies of the congregation. May you find the time to join us and share in our joy and support of St. Andrew's community THE LADIES EVENING GROUP CHRISTMAS PARTY

Because God loves me Because God loves me, He is slow to loose patients with me. He takes the circumstances of my life and uses them in a constructive way for my growth. Because God loves me, He wants to see me mature and develop in His love. He does not send down His wrath on every little mistake I make, of which there are many. Because God loves me, He does not keep score of all my sins and then beat me over the head with them when He gets a chance. He is deeply grieved when I do not walk in the ways which please Him because He sees it as evidence that I do not trust Him or love Him as I should. Because God loves me, He keeps on trusting me when I do not even trust myself. He never says there is no hope for me; but patiently works with me, loves me and disciplines me in such a way that it is hard to understand the depth of His concern for me. He never forsakes me even though many of my friends might. Because God loves me, He stands with me when I reach the rock bottom of despair, when I see the real me and compare that with His righteousness, holiness and love. It is at a moment like this that I can really believe that God loves me. Yes, the greatest of all gifts is God´s perfect love! Based on 1.Corinthians 13:4-8
